I think all of you, software engineers, who are thinking about working through "Distant Job" agency should see who is the man that leads that agency, because it is possible that you will have the same problem with him one day.

Problem is that Sharon decided that the contract that we have doesn't mean anything to him and he doesn't want to pay. Sharon explanation why he doesn't want to pay, insults his intelligence.
Explanation is that the client doesn't want to pay him, so he have no obligation to pay me.
Even worse, Sharon gave him the right to decide who deserves or not deserve to be paid in this situation.
So there are no rules that leads him. Rules in contract are good if he have benefits, but if he doesn't the rules doesn't matter and he will make up new "rules".
Considering the facts, this is the current state:
1. Job has been done (forwarding you proof below)
2. I have contract with Distant Job (read Sharon)
3. Distant Job has contract with Integrate.st (read James)
4. James feelings are hurt.
Consider next two possible situations:
1. James at the end of the month come to Distant Job with a lie that his worker has somehow insulted him.
Worker say that he isn't, but James insist that he is, and he don't want to pay anything to Distant Job.
2. James has been insulted by hearing the truth and must pay to Distant Job, because of contract that he has.
Distant Job tell to worker that James doesn't want to pay, so Distant Job take all.
In first situation Distant Job leave an option to employer to make up things, and if he don't want to pay, to do not pay.
In second option, you leave worker with no real proofs is James paid to Distant Job or not. Worker should trust on your word.
I have no reason to trust Sharon and his relationship with James is totally not my concern, as Distant Job wrote in contract.
So does James pay to Distant Job 3000$ or 5000$ or 0$ for me, that I shouldn't know. Distant Job may even pay to James and I don't have and I shouldn't have any information about this.
I know that feelings are not part of contract and we should separate job from feelings.
My opinion was that Distant Job is serious and professional agency, and that is a safe place for everyone who work, but I was very wrong.
Because Sharon want to keep James as client, he decided to please him. If Sharon is telling the truth, he gave up from his share in my salary and my salary.
That is totally OK and if he want to keep him, he can even pay 10.000$ for "surfer" to him, but with his money, not mine.
All of this is totally not my concern. For my perspective, James does not exist.
But Sharon doesn't think like that, because as he said he would have to give money from his pocket, and he doesn't like that.
So when Sharon is taking 3000$ for me, from James, that I shouldn't know, but when he takes 0$ (by the way, I sincerely don't believe that) that I should know.
Simple as that, if there are benefit everything is fine, but if Sharon has a bad agreement, or doesn't want to offend client in situation like this, he will decide not to follow the rules that wrote himself.
Distant Job owns me amount of 893$.
What I have seen so far, Sharon acts totally unprofessional and in this situation he literally stolen my money.
My sincere advice is that you should avoid this agency.
